An anniversary in the Vondelpark. With all the fun, diversity and cultural refreshments you can imagine. With 50,000 guests and 100% Kingcanary.
The Vondelpark had existed for 150 years and that was something we needed to celebrate. So, we gave ourselves the task to think of, develop, finance and produce a public celebration for... anyone and everyone who visits the park. There was a role to play for all stakeholders: the municipality, local residents and businesses in the park and anyone else.
A public celebration for 50,000 people. We developed everything and played a leading role in the organisation. In addition to the complete pre-production, we developed and programmed the entire festival. There were concerts, special tours, a boot camp, a dog race, a picnic and numerous activities for the whole family. We finished the day with a performance by Waylon who sang an ode at the foot of the statue of writer and playwright Joost van den Vondel who gave the park its name.
